Mote Park are working in partnership with Golding Homes to deliver the space experience on Saturday 7 March 2015. It will be open to the public from 1pm – 9:30pm.

This year’s event will feature activity zones and three astrodomes where visitors can experience a journey through the stars with sound and light. There will also be a fantasy space flight simulator, and a Rosetta Science Stand with demonstrations inspired by the Rosetta Space Mission. The Science Museum and the University of Kent will be putting on children’s science shows, while those looking to learn about our universe in more depth can attend talks by some of the country’s top lecturers.

Visitors aged 11-18 years old will have the opportunity to enter a competition on the day to win a free place on the University of Kent’s residential space school next August.

Tickets must be booked in advance, with none available on the door. Tickets are £1.50 per person (under 5’s go free), which will go towards the cost of staging the event. Bookings are exclusively via TicketSource or 0333 666 3366. There is a booking fee of 50p or 10% (whichever is greater) per booking. An additional fee of £1.50 is levied on telephone bookings to cover the costs of administration and postage. All activities are included in the cost except for the astrodomes (£1.50 per person) and the flight simulator (£2.50 per person).

Visitors are asked to use public transport where possible as parking at the leisure centre is limited. Remember to wrap up warm and wear sensible footwear. You might also like to bring a torch, binoculars, a telescope and a camera.
