Be a part of the Medway Mile this summer and join 3,000 runners, joggers and walkers to complete a one mile course around historic Rochester.
The Castle Gardens will play host to a variety of free sporting activities suitable for all ages and abilities, followed by a firework finale.
The Medway Mile is the largest mass participation sports event staged in Medway.
Established in 2007 to mark the countdown to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, the Mile has become hugely successful and a landmark event on Medway’s calendar.
The Medway Mile 2016 event takes place on Friday, 22 July 2016 and will be a celebration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio.
The one-mile route around historic Rochester weaves through the picturesque town and High Street before ending within the grounds of Rochester Castle.
This year’s event will give you the opportunity to try out lots of Olympic and Paralympic Sports including Hockey’s speed cage, basketball shoot – out, trampolining, inflatable sports arena, inflatable golf, archery tag and much more.
