With countless challenge events cancelled or changed to the virtual status, it’s time to dust off your saddle for the real thing: the KM Big Bike Ride (West Kent) on Sunday 27 September.
This 100-mile (160K) challenge is for serious cyclists with a good level of fitness and experience. The circular route begins and ends at Cyclopark in Gravesend and takes in beautiful West Kent countryside and the scenic Hoo Peninsula.
Complete the ride for fun or to raise money for any good cause or volunteer group of your choice – whether it’s your local PTA, scout group or a major nationwide charity.
Booking price includes mid-ride refreshments, sportive photograph taken on the ride, electronic chip timing, and souvenir medal.
Safety measures in line with government guidance on COVID-19 will include staggered check-in times and social distancing. Numbers are strictly limited and there will be no ‘on-the-day’ bookings, so secure your place without delay.
The ride is organised by children’s charity the KM Charity Team, which will receive a small share of the proceeds to cover event costs and contribute towards its health and wellbeing work with schools.
Check-in waves are between 8 am and 10 am and cyclists aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Booking price is £45 per person.
