Our work in the winter is predominantly based in area on the estate known as the Long Pits.
These pits were originally excavated for gravel but now the area is a rich habitat, which needs our help to ensure it continues to thrive.
Targeted to conserve and increase scarce plants and wildlife in the shingle habitat, the tasks vary but include mowing, slashing and cutting back shrubs/trees, burning cut materials and infrastructure works.
