Importance of Pollinators Workshop

This workshop aims to give participants the knowledge they need to change the way they manage land, for the benefit of pollinators, and to apply for agri-environment funding support.

LOCATION: Glover’s Farm, Hartley Bottom Rd, New Ash Green, Longfield, DA3 8LJ

LEADER: Laurie Jackson (Buglife Farm Pollinator and Wildlife Advisor)

The day will include an indoor theory session followed by an outdoor practical one. This will include an overview of pollinator ecology, habitat features of importance and how to assess a site in terms of its potential value for pollinators, the impact healthy pollinator communities can have on yield quality and quantity and current agri-environment scheme support – application process and suitable options for pollinator conservation and B-Lines.
