Great British Beach Clean 2016

Join a beach clean and litter survey, as a part of the Marine Conservation Society’s annual national campaign from 16 to 19 September to help the coast.

The Thanet Coast Project will be recording all types of beach litter to go into the national database and ending with a clean up of the beach.

We will also be linking up with Riz Boardshorts with their “bottletoboardshorts” project on the day.

These events lasts for 2.5 hours – gloves, sticks and bags are all provided.

Alternatively, you could join a local volunteer Coastal Wardens or Community Groups  to record and clean beach litter in other bays around the North East Kent Marine Protected Area coast – look at the website for more details:  nekmpa.org.uk
