Great British Beach Clean 2016
Pegwell Bay, Cliffsend
Join a beach clean and litter survey, as a part of the Marine Conservation Society’s annual national campaign to help the coast.
You will record all types of beach litter to go into the national database and end with a clean up of the beach.
You will also link up with Riz Boardshorts – with their “bottletoboardshorts” project – on the day. Gloves, sticks and bags are all provided.
Alternatively, you could join a local volunteer Coastal Wardens or Community Groups to record and clean beach litter in other bays around the North East Kent Marine Protected Area coast – look at the website for more details: nekmpa.org.uk
Clean along the National Nature Reserve beach, near to the chalk cliffs.
MEET: On the beach below the former hoverport access road – near Viking Ship Picnic Site, CT12 5HY.
The Great British Beach Clean bookings opens in August 2016
