This short walk will provide an introduction to the local geology and the fossils that can be found and explain why the landscape around East Wear Bay looks as it does.

MEET: Outside Restaurant (The Pavilion), Wear Bay Road, Folkestone (TR 239 364).
DISTANCE: 1 mile (1.5 hours).
GRADE: 5 (rocky beach)
We will be visiting the rocky beach, so sturdy footwear is required. Suitable for children aged 5 and over. Suggested donation of £2 appreciated.
