FORT BURGOYNE – DOVER’S HIDDEN HISTORY

Built in the 1860s to defend Dover from attack, and now a Scheduled Monument, the Fort Burgoyne site covers 10 hectares.

This tour, both above and below ground, will take you on a journey from the Fort’s original purpose through to its modifications in the two World Wars.

MEET:  At the entrance to Connaught Barracks off Dover Road, just off the A258 junction with Dover Rd and Dover Castle Coach Car Park.

Please call 01304 872 785 to book your place.

We have ordered the weather for a Great British summer.   If the sun does shine, please come prepared with water, sun cream and a hat.   If the weather isn’t so good, then please bring waterproofs.   Many of our events will be enjoyed more in strong, comfortable footwear.   Some of the terrain may be rough, steep and muddy.
