Find Your Way around Leybourne Lakes

This exciting Find Your Way activity will enable you to experience a range of habitats at Leybourne Lakes Country Park.

You will need to enter in advance using racesignup https://racesignup.co.uk/. There is a £6 charge for seniors and £3 for juniors which includes the map which you can keep afterwards.

We will be using orange and white orienteering kites as our checkpoints. The aim is to navigate from checkpoint to checkpoint using a route of your choice and locate the checkpoints on your course. Each one has a two digit number code on it which corresponds to the numbers against each checkpoint on your map so will know if you are in the right place.

An example a checkpoint will be at the Start. Follow the red and white tapes a short distance from he car park to near the cafe.

You will be issued with an electronic finger which you use to record your successful visit to each checkpoint. We interrogate this at the finish and you will receive a print out showing the time you took to get to each checkpoint.
