Family Forest Skills Easter Event

Join in with some bushcraft and Easter activities set in beautiful ancient woodland at Denstead Wood, nr Chartham Hatch.

Learn to make and light a fire and build your own shelter from natural materials.

Get creative decorating a beautiful Easter tree and go in pursuit of the chocolate eggs as you follow the woodland Easter trail.

MEET:  In the parking area at Hunstead Wood, CT4 7NT. OS map ref: TR093571.

Short walk from parking area to site (approx. 0.3 miles) partly uphill.   There is some uneven ground and it may be muddy.

COST: per adult £25;  per child £15.

Please wear outdoor, warm clothing suitable for the weather, sturdy footwear, long trousers, long sleeves, waterproofs.   Please bring a packed lunch.

Shelters will be used if weather is wet. There will be a fire, a composting toilet (accessed by steps), handwashing facilities available and hot drinks at lunchtime.

Children (minimum age 4 years) must be accompanied by an adult (max 3 children to 1 adult).
