Family Cycle Ride – Tonbridge Station

Join us for a fun relaxing cycle ride in the beautiful countryside around Tonbridge.

Meeting at Tonbridge Railway Station the route rolls around the back of historic 13th century Tonbridge Castle passing through Haysden Country Park through woods, meadows and open waters before arriving at the halfway destination point of Penshurst Place.   The ride then wends its way back to Tonbridge Railway Station.

Toilets are available at Tonbridge Railway Station, Tonbridge Swimming Pool and at Penshurst Place.

Although refreshments will be available to buy at Penshurst Place, it is strongly recommended you bring your own food and drink for a picnic.

You’ll need a mountain or hybrid bike with reasonably sturdy off-road tyres, spare inner tube, a puncture repair kit, a big smile and bags of enthusiasm!

Whilst the ride is for families, you’ll need to be fairly competent and confident on your bike to ride this route.   You need to be willing to stretch yourself a little as there are some modest hills and short sections of uneven surface in this picturesque ride.   There are also two very short sections on quiet public roads.

Spaces are limited, so booking is essential.  Please use this link
