24th – 25th September 2022

Follow in the footsteps of Dover’s medieval pilgrims as you explore historic sites around the town to discover fascinating buildings and stories. Follow a fun, family-friendly illustrated map through the centre of Dover to discover sites visited by medieval pilgrims – from Dover seafront and St Mary’s Church to the magnificent Maison Dieu – built to welcome poor pilgrims in about 1200. Other participating venues include Dover Museum, St Martin Le Grand Church, St James’ Church and St Edmund’s Chapel. Get you trail sheet stamped at 3 different venues to win a special prize!

Free self-guided trail for all ages. The trail is approximately 1 mile long and can be completed in any order. Most of the route is buggy and wheelchair accessible.

Pick up your free trail sheet at any participating site on the day (Maison Dieu, St Mary’s Church, or St Edmund’s Chapel), or at the Pilgrim Quarter of the Urban Fete in Pencester Gardens.
