  • Lullingstone

As part of the Darent Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme, a community excavation will be taking place at Lullingstone Roman Villa between the 15th and 28th of July between 10am and 4pm each day.

This unique opportunity, open to members of the public to take part in, marks the 70th anniversary of the original excavations.

As well as digging, you will be able to wash and process your finds; activities will be available, and a special exhibit on the original excavations at the villa which started in 1949 will be in place from June which will include talks and tours of both the villa complex and the current excavations.

Email our Community Archaeologist, Dr Anne Sassin to take part: Anne.Sassin@kentdowns.org.uk.
