Join on Sunday, 29th December, for a scenic countryside walk between the historic towns of Faversham and Canterbury, starting in the picturesque village of Boughton-under-Blean. 🌳 The route will take you through open countryside, ancient woodlands, and beautiful orchards, passing some incredible landmarks: 🏰 Mount Ephraim – A stunning Edwardian estate, home to the Dawes family for over 300 years, with breathtaking gardens. 🌿 Hernhill – A charming village with roots going back to Saxon times, also known for its role in the 1838 Swing Riots. 🍏 Dargate – A peaceful hamlet, once central to Kent’s fruit farming and hop-growing traditions. 🌲 Blean Wood – One of England’s oldest woodlands, continuously standing for over 1,000 years, rich in wildlife and history. 🏞 Dunkirk – Named after the 1838 skirmish during the Swing Riots, and a village that played a key role during WWII. Let’s walk together through Kent’s incredible history and landscapes! 🥾🌾
