On Saturday 15th June we will be heading to Ashford to discover another beautiful part of the North Downs Way national landscape, taking a looped walk between Westwell and Eastwell Manor.

From our meeting outside Spearpoint Recreation Ground, (The Ridge, Kennington, Ashford TN24 9EU) we will be walking between the two manor houses, and passing Boughton Lees, The remains of St Mary’s Church with picturesque rolling hills.

The walk is approximately 14km / 8.5 miles in length starting from Kennington Recreation Ground and covers some of the best walking areas in Ashford.

We will be meeting at 09:15am ready for a 09:30am prompt start. Along the way we will be stopping for a picnic lunch (not included) at around mid-day. The walk will leave at 0930am prompt, please let us know if you are running late. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly and will go on a lead when required such as entering fields of livestock.

Terrain – mixed a reasonably steep incline

Distance – approximately 14 km (8.5 miles)

Walking time – 4 hours walking (with lunch break in the middle)
