On Sunday 30th June we will take a hike from Sandwich, one of the historic Cinque Ports.

Following the path alongside the river. The Stour Valley Walk will take us down to the open sea at Sandwich Bay. Passing through the sand dunes, we will walk through the famous Royal St George’s Golf Course making our way through the open fields, passing the entrance to Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Trust Field Centre back towards the starting point.

We will be meeting at The Quay Parking, Sandwich, CT13 9EW just outside Sandwich Medieval Centre at 09:15 for a 09:30am prompt start.

**Car Parking Charges not included**

The walk will take approximately 3.5 hours (around 10 km / 6 miles), will include a lunch stop (lunch not included) and will cost £5 per person. If you are running late, please contact us so we can wait for you.

Meeting time – 9:15am ready for a 09:30am prompt start.

Terrain – mostly flat Distance – approximately 10 km (6 miles)

Walking time – 3.5 hours walking (with lunch break in the middle)

Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly and will go on a lead when required such as entering fields of livestock.
