Fancy yourself as a nature detective? Join our community Bioblitz event and help us find out about all the fantastic flora and fauna living on your local wildlife patch!
This is a day of family-friendly wildlife surveys where we collectively try to identify as many different plants and animals as possible. Drop by and take part in games and activities to identify what species we’ve got on site. We’ll have plenty of resources to help you, including id guides, magnifying pots, sweep nets and lots of child-friendly activities. Guided walks will be scheduled throughout the day, including a bird walk at 10.30am.
By learning what is present on site, we hope you will be inspired to return, and we can use the data to inform how we look after the land.
Please come by foot as no parking is available. The site can be accessed via Bell Lane footpath KM302a or via footpath KM311 which can be accessed from Bathurst Road (junction with Gybbon Rise).
Location – Wimpey Field Nature Reserve, Bell Lane, Staplehurst, Kent, TN120BB.
All children must be accompanied by adults – no more than 3 children per adult please.
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing (sun hats and suncream may be necessary).
Everything is free, kindly funded by Staplehurst Parish Council. Booking is not necessary and you do not need to bring tickets with you.
