Fancy yourself as a nature detective? Join our community Bioblitz event and help us find out about all the fantastic flora and fauna living on your local wildlife patch!
This is a day of family-friendly wildlife surveys where we collectively try to identify as many different plants and animals as possible.
Drop by and take part in games and activities to identify what we’ve got. We’ll have plenty of resources to help you, including id guides, magnifying pots, sweep nets and lots of child-friendly activities. Wildlife-themed face painting and storytelling will also be available throughout the day.
By learning what is present on site, we hope you will be inspired to return, and we can use the data to inform how we look after the land.
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing (sun hats and suncream may be necessary). The site is unsuitable for pushchairs, however the stall with resources will be set up on the playing field which has easy access. Everything is free, kindly organised with the help of Aylesford Parish Council, with funding from Gallaghers.
There is no need to book tickets as it is a drop-in event – come along anytime between 10am and 3pm. If you do however want to book a ticket, this can be done through the Eventbrite page. Doing this will mean you receive an email reminding you of the event prior to the day.
