Join us on a Ramblers walk through Harbledown and Chartham through the beautiful Kent countryside.
- 11 Nov 2018
Join us on a Ramblers walk through Harbledown and Chartham through the beautiful Kent countryside. The circular walk will include walking through ‘No Man’s Orchard’ where we can pause to see the orchard trees and ‘there but not there’ silhouettes. The trees will be ‘dressed’ with commemorative crosses, information, poetry and pictures by children from Chartham Primary School to commemorate those in Chartham, Harbledown and Rough Common who lost their lives in WW1.
The circular walk is 6.8m and will be a half day walk from Lower Harbledown along the Stour Valley to Chartham Hatch and back along the North Downs Way.
This event is being run as part of a series of events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Kent Downs AONB and the 40th Anniversary of the North Downs Way, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. For more information visit The Kent Downs Website
