Kent is home to 13 of the 18 bat species found in the UK. Find out which ones are present in the Up on the Downs Scheme area as we are joined by Shirley Thompson of the Kent Bat Group. This course runs from early afternoon into the evening so that we can find some of the bats that make their homes in the Kearsney Parks. During daylight hours we will find out about the animals and their different habits through the year. A real treat not to be missed. No experience necessary.
COST: A £10 returnable deposit is required to secure your place on this course made payable by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Dover District Council and will only be cashed if participants do not attend the course. If you have no cheque book please contact Up on the Downs to make alternative arrangements.
MEET: Kearsney Abbey Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, Dover, Kent, CT16 3EQ
