Join Boots on Adventures to walk a section of North Downs Way around the parish of Aylesham, near Canterbury.

On Sunday 5th March Boots on Adventures will be walking a section of North Downs Way around the parish of Aylesham.

Aylesham is a village built to house the miners in the local colliery at Snowdown but also has connections to Edward of Woodstock, The Black Prince and King Richard II.

This walk will start from just outside the co-op in Aylesham and make its way down to the North Downs Way where we will follow this beautiful stretch of the trail through the quaint village of Womenswold and onto the Barham Downs.

We will be meeting outside Aylesham Co-Op (Market Pl, Aylesham, Canterbury CT3 3DY) at 09:15 for a 09:30am prompt start. The walk will take approximately 3 hours (around 10.5 km / 6.5 miles), will include a lunch stop (lunch not included) and will cost £3.50 per person.

  • Meeting time – 9:15am ready for a 09:30am prompt start.
  • Terrain – mostly flat
  • Distance – approximately 10.5 km (6.5 miles)
  • Walking time – 3 hours walking (with lunch break in the middle)

Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly and will go on a lead when required such as entering fields of livestock.
