A historical Walk from Newington to Upchurch

On the 5th January stroll from Newington to visit some of the nearby villages. The walk will start at Newington Station Car Park. From the car park you will make your way passed Newington Church walking down to Lower Halstow allowing for views of the River Medway. From there you will stroll onto Upchurch and then back through orchards on footpaths and country lanes until returning to Newington. Along the way you will hear tales of what the Devil got up to in Newington, how someone used pottery to commune with the ghost of Lawrence of Arabia and ships bobbing on the Medway full of potentially infectious individuals.
