Get in the Saddle and Celebrate Bike Week 2018!

Exciting news!  Bike Week 2018 takes place 9–17 June & we’ve got loads of amazing ways you can get involved & enjoy cycling

Kent offers plenty of attractive cycling opportunities with picturesque countryside and magnificent coastline. One popular cycling trail is the Viking Coastal Trail which runs along the Kent coastline passing through popular Birchington, Margate and Ramsgate.  Then there’s the beautiful Canterbury to Coast cycle trail; passing along leafy lanes and bridleways, just perfect for a cycling holiday or a variety of day rides.

With hundreds of events organised across the UK (and over half a million people pedalling along with you), Bike Week is the UK’s largest biking event of the year, helping it in it’s goal of inspiring new and old riders to get on the saddle and give the pedals a whirl.

There are lots of great events happening up and down the country from the end of the May, throughout Bike Week to the end of June just like the Medway Cycling Festival.

Cyclopark is the perfect venue to test out your riding skills; they have ladies only sessions, mountain biking and BMX’ing and will even hire you a bike if you’ve not got your own yet!

And if that’s not enough KCC are also offering Bikeability courses – cycle training for everyone, from learning to ride a bike, getting more confidence riding or getting road savvy with advanced road cycling courses.

So grab your helmet, gather up your friends and family, and discover how much enjoyment and enrichment Cycling in Kent can bring!

Whether you are looking to enjoy a steady paced ride with your family or a more challenging cycling trail... you can choose the perfect one here!

We’ve teamed up with Kent Sport to support their #EverydayActive campaign.  The campaign aims to help people make everyday moves that will make a real difference to their health and happiness.  You don’t have to be a sporty person or spend hours in the gym.  Taking small steps to move more can have a huge impact on your day-to-day life.
