Keep Walking This Autumn – Free Walks Across Medway!

There’s something about autumn that feels like a gentle exhale after the rush of summer. The days begin to soften, the light turns golden, and the air carries that unmistakable scent of change – earthy, crisp, and a little nostalgic. It’s not just about swapping out summer clothes for warmer layers – it’s a mindset shift, a gentle transition into a slower, more reflective season.

Feeling the autumn vibes? Why not explore our Medway area with a week of Wellbeing Walks – could this be your perfect seasonal reset? Whether you’re a seasoned walker or just curious to explore somewhere new, these friendly group walks are open to everyone – especially adults looking to stay active and socially connected.

Walking is still one of the simplest ways to boost your physical and mental health. It’s free, requires nothing more than a comfy pair of shoes, and offers a gentle way to improve fitness, reduce stress, and lift your mood. Plus, walking with others makes it even more enjoyable – you’ll meet new people, explore local green spaces, and maybe even discover a new favourite walking route.

Medway’s Wellbeing Walks are led by trained volunteers and range from short 10-walk in the parks to longer 90-minute adventures using poles. Each walk is graded so you can choose one that suits your pace and confidence. And if you’re not quite ready for a group, there are 11 self-guided routes available too!

So, why not give them a try? Whether you’re chatting about last night’s telly with a new walking buddy or enjoying the autumn colours, you’ll be doing something great for your body and mind.
