Family days out this summer!

Enjoy Summer Holiday Activities With The Whole Family

With so many places in Kent to celebrate this summer, there’s no need for the children to get bored!

Join in with the natural arts campfire days and the exciting summer discovery days at Kent Country Parks, or head to Lullingstone Country Park to have fun with natural arts and crafts in the forest school gathering materials to create a woodland animal or mini-beast to take home.  Then join the ranger to toast some delicious marshmallows over a roaring campfire.  For some wild fun check out the Kent Wildlife Trust and get involved with their programme of wild and wonderful events taking place throughout the summer.

For something a little bit different you could embark on the perfect family geocaching adventure at beautiful Trosley Country Park, using a GPS handset to explore the park to seek out the hidden markers, or spend the day at the picturesque Brockhill Country Park to have some fun dipping in the stream discovering the myriad of water mini-beasts that live there.

We’ve teamed up with Kent Children’s University – make sure you check out the Kent Children’s University Summer Challenge website where there are loads fantastic activities to try over the next few months; from rock-pooling with the family to producing a tourism leaflet for your town, there is something for everyone to get involved with.

And if that’s not enough, grab your sun cream and pack a picnic to explore the great outdoors, getting active at Betteshanger Country Park  enjoying their many summer events you’ll be sure to love!

There's loads of exciting family activities happening this summer, here are just a few to get you started.....

The selection of events above are just a very small taster of the huge variety of activities taking place all over Kent this summer.
