Sutton by Dover Parish
In collaboration with Kent Ramblers, we have helped develop a walking map for the parish of Sutton-by-Dover. This map is located on the parish green and highlights local routes, landscapes and points of interest to help residents and visitors explore the area on foot. You can also download or view the board to help you find your way around the parish.
Sutton-by-Dover is a rural parish in the Dover district made up of the settlements of Sutton, Ashley, East and West Studdal, Maydensole, Swingate and Little Mongeham. Set within the rolling countryside between Dover and Deal, the parish offers a network of public rights of way that connect villages, farmland and downland scenery, making it an excellent location for walking and enjoying the Kent countryside.
Walkers can explore quiet country lanes, historic villages and local green spaces, while longer routes in the surrounding area provide opportunities to discover more of the Kent Downs landscape. The parish is also close to the North Downs Way National Trail, one of Britain’s best-known long-distance walking routes.
