Brookland Lake is a 28 acre, old sand and gravel pit which is surrounded by trees and reeds and managed by a private angling club. However, there are circular walks around the lake that are open to the public. The lake is a tranquil place and is tucked away off the A228, behind the paper mill near Snodland. Dog walkers are asked keep their dogs under control so that anyone fishing is not disturbed. There is parking and a café that opens Monday to Saturday from 8am until 3pm.
