Wild with Wheels is delighted to invite you to join us at Great Farthingloe Farm for a FREE sensory-focused accessible nature experience on the Award Winning Kent Heritage Coast.

We’ll be exploring the farm paths, taking time to explore coastal scenery, chalk grassland and wildflower areas with a backdrop of the sea with a view across the Channel to France on a clear day. Join us and get close to nature with our experienced Walk Leaders and Support Walker.

This location is suitable for those with mobility limitations. However, we recommend using outdoor rollator, or other walking aid with seat. The site has limited seating opportunities.

⏰ 2 hours duration – Pace is set by the abiliities of the group on the day (usually slow but with lots of interactions with nature and the landscape) so 1-2 miles maximum

MEETING DETAILS

Meet us by the gate entrance of Farthingloe Barn (NOT LITTLE FARTHINGLOE FARM). Great Farthingloe Farm is on the opposite side of the road. We shall all proceed through the gate to the parking location together.

Served by Bus #102 from Folkestone or Dover (Please notify the host if you are arriving by bus to be accompanied to and from the bus stop as the pavement is currently inaccessible for wheeled users).

ABOUT THIS EVENT

This event is part of the North Downs Way National Trail and Kent Downs National Landscape’s Putting Down Routes Project.

The Putting Down Routes project seeks to encourage new audiences from under-represented communities to the North Downs Way National Trail, as well as upgrading and enhancing parts of the trail so they are more accessible to a wider range of people.

The project aims to position the North Downs Way National Trail as a safe, inclusive and accessible destination where all are welcome.

Putting Down Routes is a collaborative project between the Kent Downs National Landscape and the North Downs Way National Trail, working with partners Black Girls Hike and Wild With Wheels. Putting Downs Routes is funded through The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Defra’s Farming in Protected Landscapes.
