The Stour Valley Walk
The Stour Valley Walk is a 58 mile route through the Low Weald and North Downs. The walk is marked by the green ‘Stour Valley’ signs that feature the Stour walk’s heron symbol. Why not pick part of the walk and explore the rolling grassland, woods, marshes, peat bog, orchards and picturesque villages.

The Dog and Bear Hotel is a 17th century inn in the heart of Lenham serving locally sourced food. This friendly local pub serves traditional dishes, such as roast ham and eggs, beef, ale and onion pie, plus sandwiches and vegetarian options.
The Red Lion is in the heart of Charing. Built in 1562, the pub still has the original oak-beams and wooden paneling. It’s a relaxed pub, with exceptional ales, wines and spirits, plus delicious home-cooked food.
