Linton walk – orchards and oasts

This walk passes alongside orchards with clouds of blossom in summer and trees laden with apples in autumn, with gradual views opening up to reveal Goudhurst.
The weathered walls of Boughton Monchelsea Place can be seen surrounded by luxurious fields, enjoyed by cattle.
The impressive Linton House can be seen in the heart of Linton Park with its high flag pole and white walls. The 18th century house served as headquarters for more than 11,000 soldiers camping out between Coxheath and Boughton Monchelsea in wait to fight a threatening French invasion.
The lake in Linton is a lovely spot, filled with water lilies it’s a popular habitat for waterfowl throughout the summer.
