The beach is well-placed, set within in the heart of Westgate and edged with tennis courts, a putting green and a restaurant.
Travel up the coast on the Viking Coastal Trail and you can choose between the lively town of Margate and the peace and quiet of the atmospheric Reculver Towers to finish up a day by the coast.
