Mother’s Day Woodland Crafts

Spend a spring day in Denstead Wood, nr Chartham Hatch, trying out new crafts including jewellery making – using your own handmade beads and dyed fabrics – charcoal pencil making and woodcraft activities.  End the day relaxing round the fire circle with some tea and camp re cake.

MEET:  In parking area at Hunstead Wood, CT4 7NT (OS map ref: TR093571).  Short walk from parking area to site (approx. 0.3 miles) partly uphill.

There is some uneven ground and it may be muddy.  Wear outdoor, warm clothing suitable for the weather, sturdy footwear, long trousers, long sleeves, waterproofs.

Please bring a packed lunch.  Shelters will be used if weather is wet.  There will be a fire, a composting toilet (accessed by steps), handwashing facilities available and hot drinks at lunchtime.  Children (minimum age 4 years) must be accompanied by an adult (max 3 children to 1 adult).
