BAT WALK AT KEARSNEY ABBEY

Join local specialist Shirley Thompson for a short walk with stops around Kearsney Abbey lake and grounds, in search of bats which should hopefully start flying at around 9.30pm.

LEADER: Shirley Thompson, Kent Bat Group and Melanie Wrigley, White Cliffs Countryside Partnership (07880 706990).

MEET: Outside Kearsney Abbey café, Alkham Valley Road, Kearsney, Dover, CT16 3DZ.

DISTANCE: 0.5 mile (1.5 – 2 hours).

GRADE: 5 (night).

There will be some bat detectors to borrow but if you have your own please bring them along.

Please wear sensible footwear and bring a torch (not for using to look at bats).

We will be walking by open water and the lake in the dark so children MUST be closely supervised at all times.

Please contact White Cliff Countryside Partnership to book your place (01304 241806).

Suggested donation of £2 per person appreciated.   No dogs please.
