Get ready for Halloween & head along to one of these fantastic farms to pick your own pumpkins! Whether you’re making pumpkin soup, sticky chutney or just love to carve weird & wonderful creations, children and adults alike will love the beautiful, colourful pumkins on offer.
Make a day of it and enjoy one of the countryside walks situated near the farms. Once you’ve pick your pumpkins take a short drive to the start of the walks where you can stroll together and relish in the wonderful views the Kent countryside has to offer.
Pull out your wellies and come to choose your favourite pumpkin from a huge variety!
Carve the pumpkin at home and make your own soup, cake or chutney. You can choose from these tasty recipies.

Chilton Manor Farm
Chilton Manor Farm, a family farm & shop situated in the beautiful Kent countryside near Sittingbourne, will soon be offering pumpkins from their farm shop.

The farm shop is located only 20 minutes from a lovely Faversham Walk.
Have fun choosing which pumpkin or squash you like best as there are over 50 different varieties to choose from.
The tiny munchkins are perfect for decorating your house or painting and only cost £1.

Most of the pumpkin stalks will have been cut for you so all you need to do is pick what you want from the fields. The stalks can be a bit prickly so either wear gloves or pick them up from the base. Or if you are in a hurry most farms usually have some ready by the entrance.
If it has been raining then it’s probably best to wear wellies as the fields can get very muddy and might not be easy for pushchairs or wheelchairs to get around – you could always bring your own wheelbarrow to throw the kids in….
